Help shape our Equality Outcomes 2017-2021

The refresh of our Equality Outcomes is well under way. Here, we describe what has been done so far, and how we plan to gather more feedback.

Everybody’s Talkin’

A series of conversations is helping us to update our existing Equality Outcomes Framework by giving us an insight into what is important to the people and communities that we work with.

It all started back in December 2016 with an education and equality themed workshop held in conjunction with Glasgow Equality Forum at the City Halls in Glasgow. Participants from secondary schools, as well as community and voluntary organisations from across the city all had their voices heard in structured and themed discussions. The report from the day will feed into GCU’s refreshed Equality Outcomes.

This engagement has continued with a series of staff focus groups back at GCU, and further conversations are planned with the Students’ Association and specific staff teams.

For Those About To Blog…

This new GCU Equality and Diversity blog will be used in addition to the face to face conversations that we have been having. Over the next few months we will present our existing Equality Outcomes and ask for feedback from readers – either in the comments sections of the blogs, via our @GCUEquality Twitter account or through our Equality email address equality@gcu.ac.uk

Look out for the blogs and discussions. We look forward to getting your ideas!
