Scheduled maintenance on BNF Online

Please be aware that there is scheduled maintenance to the British National Formulary online platform on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 February, 7am – 7pm.

The vendor has made us aware that users may encounter brief periods of downtime and may be unable to access BNF Online during this time. This is to undertake essential infrastructure maintenance work on the platform and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Technical issue [Construction on i-law]

We are currently experiencing access issues to the resource i-Law (Building Law Reports), this is due to problems with the platform at the publishers end.

Technical issue [Westlaw]

The library is aware of intermittent issues with the online database Westlaw currently, this is due to problems with the website at the publishers end. Westlaw error message displaying an error that says "your profile contains no valid registration keys. Contact your administrator for assistance or sign in to OnePass to manage your profile.If any users are trying to access the Westlaw database and see an error message that states, “Your profile contains no valid registration keys”, please contact the library team at ertenq@gcu.ac.uk immediately. We will then investigate this issue on your behalf.

Lexis Plus – how to migrate your personal account

LexisLibrary have recently upgraded GCU to their new Lexis Plus UK platform.

Any users who may have had saved searches, bookmarks or alerts set up in the older version of LexisLibrary can migrate their preferences to the new platform. Please follow the instructions below if you wish to migrate any personal preferences. Continue reading

Dawson Books in administration; potential technical issue

Previously we wrote to advise that Dawson Books has regrettably entered administration. Any notes added to Dawsonera ebooks must be exported before Friday 31 July: read how to do this here.

We are currently working to transfer our portfolio of ebooks on this platform to another provider.

Technical issue [ProQuest ebooks]

**This issue is now resolved: please note that you may need to delete your browser’s cookies and cache in order for platform access to be restored**

We are currently experiencing access issues with ebooks hosted on the ProQuest/Ebook Central platform.

This issue is currently being investigated by the vendor and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
