M&S Fashion Scholarship winners Alison Laing and Ciara Reddington have graduated from GCU London.
The graduates joined GCU London last year on a unique scholarship scheme between the University and M&S, which supported them in their studies on the MSc International Fashion Marketing programme.
Alison, who graduated with an MSc with distinction, is now working with fashion retailer Charles Tyrwhitt’s web team. She said: “I was finishing my undergraduate at GCU, when I heard about the M&S Fashion Scholarship and applied for the funding. I have loved the course at GCU London and it has helped me secure a full-time job in the fashion industry.”
Ciara has also secured full-time employment. She said: “I’m extremely grateful for the scholarship opportunity and have really enjoyed my time at GCU London.
“I carried out a work placement at M&S as part of the course and also worked part-time for the luxury fashion retailer Jaegar. This experience has really helped me and I now work as a Marketing Assistant for Jaegar.”
Launched in 2013, the M&S Fashion Scholarship offers financial assistance to selected students on fashion courses at The GCU British School of Fashion. It also allows them to benefit from the unique experience of M&S mentoring in the business of fashion.
