On Thursday 11 February, GCU London held a workshop on ‘Textiles Technologies’, led by current MSc International Fashion Marketing student, Christiane Stieler. The workshop explored the A-Z of textiles and garments.
Christiane, who previously studied Textiles Technologies at the Akademie JAK in Germany, took the audience through the basics of fabrics, production, different characteristics and qualities of textiles.
Matteo Montecchi, Senior Lecturer at GCU London, said: “I am very pleased that this initiative was entirely led by one of our MSc International Fashion Marketing students.
“It was a very insightful session on the different types of fibres and their application in a wide range of products.”
The next event in our series of fashion workshops, guest lectures and seminars; ‘A Conversation with Eunice Olumide’, is due to take place on Thursday 25 February. For further information on this workshop or to book your free place, please see our Events section.
