The Macmillan Coffee event piloted by Ruth Cawthorne on Thursday 6th October at GCU London saw fantastic participation by both students and staff.
The event was set up in the Student Café which hosted an excellent contribution from those who faked and baked cakes, achieving a generous donation from the staff and students who attended and enjoyed the event.
In addition to the money raise during the cake event, the lunch-time Table-tennis tournament provided further funding to support Macmillan. Due to the hard work, effort and contributions from GCU London students and staff we raised a staggering final amount of £202.86.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. MacMillan Cancer Support provides medical, emotional, practical and financial support, as well as campaigning for better cancer care.
Congratulations to all the students and staff who made this event such a success.
