Glasgow Caledonian University are delighted to announce that Professor Antony Morgan has been appointed as Dean of GCU London.
Professor Morgan joined the University in February 2012, and has been Interim Dean of GCU London since January 2016.
Before becoming Interim Dean earlier in 2016, Professor Morgan was Programme Leader for the MSc Public Health programme. As a Professor, Antony made a significant contribution to the University in his scholarly area of interest, Public Health.
During his time as Interim Dean, he has already delivered positive results at the London campus in a number of areas. Professor Morgan will assume his permanent position immediately.
Professor Antony Morgan said: “GCU London has already achieved so much since it was established in 2010.
“I am very happy and fortunate to be leading it into its next phase of development. I cannot do this alone of course – my job will be to further grow the talents of existing staff and to work collaboratively with others to ensure its continued success.
“My goal is to make people proud of GCU London and the contribution it makes to the common good values of the wider University.”
Principal and Vice-Chancellor of GCU, Professor Pamela Gillies, said: “I know we will benefit from his academic leadership and excellence, across our University community.
“I know that colleagues will join me in wishing Professor Morgan every success in his permanent role.”
We would like to join Professor Gillies in congratulating Antony on securing this position and wish him every success going forward.
