The British School of Fashion at GCU London were proud sponsors of the event which has been set up to provide a global platform for Scotland’s world renowned fashion and textiles industry.
The event was opened by the founder and Honorary Doctor of GCU, Dr Tessa Hartman CBE. During Dr Hartman’s opening speech she praised the wealth of talent within the Scottish Fashion industry and encouraged the talent to think and act on a global scale.
Professor Christopher Moore presented the award for Textile Brand of the Year to Pringle of Scotland and other winners included Christopher Kane for Designer of the Year and Pam Hogg for the Fashion Icon award.
A special award was presented to Holly Fulton as Innovator of the Year in recognition of her contribution to fashion by her “innovative creativity and significant commercial success.”
The event was attended by leading industry figures from brands such as Prada and Burberry and celebrities such as Pixie Lott and Alesha Dixon.
