It was the only university in Scotland that had a course that met all my wants and needs. After visiting the campus and the fashion factory I fell in love!

The variety of subjects included in my course, I learned everything from how to run my own business, to how to construct garments and make my own clothes. Alongside the educational benefits I met so many likeminded people, some of which remain my best friends to this day.

My biggest lesson learned so far is…

Embrace all the opportunities GCU offers you as much as you can! GCU is great at offering trips away, talks with industry professionals and practical opportunities to practice grad skills. Make the most of them and try and enjoy every minute.

My next steps look like…

Since graduating I have gained a position as a social media and marketing executive, I love marketing so this is my ideal position. I have also made use of the practical side of my degree and have started a business making clothes! Check it out on Instagram @jadecaradesign
