I chose to study at GCU because the BSC Child Nursing course sounded like the perfect course for me! Once I attended the interview I knew that GCU would provide exactly what I was looking for. Now that I have graduated I can say that the course fulfilled my expectations.

The most important aspect of my university experience has been the friends that I’ve made in the process, I have met friends for life through my university experience!

My biggest lesson learned so far is…

My biggest lesson learned so far is how I have grown as a nurse through working through the Covid 19 pandemic. The university was great at providing support through the difficult period and I feel like my nursing experience has grown through the last couple of years.

I’m proud to be part of the University for the Common good because of the challenges that I have overcome throughout the global pandemic. I experienced my nursing management placement through Covid19 and I feel proud that I persevered and could help people during a hard time!

I get my inspiration from…

I get my inspiration from my nursing colleagues who I work with every day, I aspire to be as experienced and knowledgeable as some of them! I also get inspiration from my family who drive me to do the best I can.

My next steps look like…

My next steps will be to continue increasing my knowledge in my job now as a qualified staff nurse. I have a position in paediatric inpatients and I am loving it! I am focusing on gaining more experience in my current post and learning new things!
