“Staff were committed to ensuring we received a valuable educational experience.”

2022 BSc Pharmacology graduate Lewis Gilmartin shares his insight into life at GCU and life after graduating from university.

I chose to study at GCU because…

It’s excellent choices of biological sciences courses available, many of which that are accredited with governing bodies.

The most important aspect of my university experience has been…

The hands-on experience within the labs. Despite the challenges of the pandemic cutting a lot of it short. Staff were committed to ensuring we get this valuable experience. I was even able to do my honours research project completely on campus!

My biggest lesson learned so far is…

The job prospects and future study possibilities with a degree in this fields are so much broader and offer far more opportunities than I ever could have anticipated.

I’m proud to be part of the University for the Common Good because…

I believe in widening access to education and GCU offers lots of free public memberships to the Sir Alex Ferguson library.

I get my inspiration from…

My (former) classmates, many of who I now call friends.

My next steps look like…

Further study to complete a degree in medicine.
