Dr Sarter, New Book Published

Dr Katharina Sarter, Ailsa McKay Post-Doctoral Fellow in WiSE Research Centre, has published a new book.  Public Procurement in Germany: Socially responsible and sustainable?

Public purchasing of goods and services accounts for an important part of public spending. It also amounts to about 15% of GDP in the European Union. Against the background of the high volume spent, socially responsible public purchasing has received increasing attention in the last decade. The authors provide an insight into regulatory policies on socially responsible public procurement with a special emphasis on German national and subnational regulations and their local implementation.
