WiSE Centre PhD Student Selected for Scottish Government Internship, Driving Research on Disability Employment Initiatives

WiSE Centre for Economic Justice PhD student Dominic Lo has earned a coveted spot in the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science’s (SGSSS) summer internship programme.

Starting in June 2024, we are delighted to announce that Dominic has been selected to contribute to the ‘Review of International Practice on Disability Employment Initiatives’ under the Directorate for Chief Economist at the Scottish Government.

The SGSSS-Scottish Government Internship Scheme underscores its commitment to fostering academic excellence and real-world impact by offering opportunities to current SGSSS students pursuing a PhD degree in Scotland.  Through tailor-made projects, participants not only sharpen their research acumen but also cultivate transferable skills crucial for professional success beyond academia.

Dominic is looking forward to the opportunity to help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application and we wish him a fulfilling and rewarding internship experience.
