Medicine, Markets and Morals Network

A team from the Yunus Centre for Social Business and Health co-organised the first of three national seminars on the subject of ‘Medicine, Markets and Morals’, which took place at the University of Birmingham on October 15th and 16th.

The meeting – attended by Professors Cam Donaldson and Rachel Baker, along with Helen Mason, Marissa Collins and Neil McHugh – included presentations from representatives of several UK universities and international guests from Harvard, McMaster University in Canada, ESSEC Business School in Paris, Monash University in Melbourne and the University of Oslo.

‘Medicine, Markets and Morals’ is a joint initiative between GCU and the University of Liverpool, focusing on health and social-care systems and the allocation of resources within such systems. The next meeting will be held at GCU on February 11th and 12th.
