International Society on Priorities in Health Conference

Members of the Yunus Centre presented our work at the 11th  biennial meeting  of the International Society on Priorities in Health (ISPH) conference in Birmingham – resulting in great discussions and new connections.

Rachel Baker presented ‘Perspectives, Priorities and Plurality’ in the opening plenary session of the conference – ‘What matters to people:  priorities for individuals, communities and populations’.

Marissa Collins talked about her work with Cam Donaldson , ‘Managing Scarcity in integrated care: the case of health and social care partnerships in Scotland”  as part of a session on economics and priority setting.

Neil McHugh described some preliminary findings from the CSO-funded EQWEL research project in a session on ‘Priority setting at the end of life’ entitled “Are life extensions or quality of life improvements more valuable at the end of life?”

And Cam Donaldson was part of an organized session, ‘Getting the most out of your health budget – a roundtable discussion on how to set priorities in the English NHS’ with Muir Gray, Craig Mitton, Judith Smith and Iestyn Williams.
