I’m doing my first ever IPA analysis, a practice exercise using a poem of 12 lines (85 words). After doing the exploratory, emergent and super-ordinates I’ve written up about 700 words. Does this sound like enough? I feel I could carry on for ever and write a book but surely this would just be obsessiveness?
