Over the summer the Library team have been making improvements to Discover, the library search engine. All our enhancements will be going live on Monday 2nd July and while we are upgrading, users may experiences some issues while using Discover.
My Library Account
During the upgrade, users may experience temporary issues logging into their library account. If you need to renew books you can still do so by contacting the library desk either by phone on 0141 273 1000 or by email at email@example.com
Some internet browsers may still automatically redirect to the old version of Discover. Users can work around this by clearing the browser’s cache or performing a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5 on Windows; Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac)
Links to Discover
After the upgrade users may find that links to Discover from the website or GCULearn may no longer function. Redirects have been put in place but may not function for all links. We would advise all academic staff to check their links in GCULearn over the summer and update any which no longer function.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you encounter any other issues while using Discover from 2nd July onwards.
